Description

The 1810 Classic Head Cent - Private Restrike is a cent produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Classic Head Cents 1808-1814 series. Total mintage reached 1.5 million. The obverse features Liberty facing left wearing a fillet or headband inscribed LIBERTY, while the reverse displays a wreath enclosing ONE CENT. Designed by John Reich. Struck in tin, weighing 10.89 grams, 28 mm in diameter, with a plain edge. Cataloged as PCGS #36487. The Classic Head Cent was produced during a period of national growth and the aftermath of the War of 1812. A short-lived series of only seven years with relatively low mintages. All dates are scarce compared to later cents.
