Description
The 1810 Classic Head Cent - 10/09 is a cent produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Classic Head Cents 1808-1814 series. With a mintage of 1.5 million, this is a less common issue — the lowest mintage among 4 mint variants, representing only 25% of total production. The obverse features Liberty facing left wearing a fillet or headband inscribed LIBERTY and the reverse displays a wreath enclosing ONE CENT. The 1810/09 overdate is a collected variety. Mintage was modest. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792. Estimated market value ranges from $162 to $3.1K depending on grade and condition.
