The 1804 Cent Patterns page holds J-28, the tin (white metal) striking of the so-called 1804 restrike cent. uspatterns.com says these pieces were made outside the Mint, first by Joseph J. Mickley and Edward Cogan, from a reworked 1803 obverse and an 1820 reverse that the Mint had sold as scrap; the copper strikings from the same dies are not listed in Judd.
