Description
The (1796) Bronze Medal Castorland Restrike - Original Dies is a Restrike medal struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Post-1776 Private and Regional Issues (1778-1820) series. Produced during the earliest years of the United States Mint, when the young republic was establishing its monetary system and coinage traditions. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792. Struck in bronze, weighing 15 grams, 32 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #657.
