Description
The 1794 Franklin Press Half Penny Token is a cent produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Post-1776 Private and Regional Issues (1778-1820) series. Produced during the earliest years of the United States Mint, when the young republic was establishing its monetary system and coinage traditions. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792. Struck in copper, weighing 9.5 grams, 29 mm in diameter, with a lettered edge. Cataloged as PCGS #630.
