Description
The 1793 Wreath Cent - Vine and Bars is part of the Flowing Hair Wreath Cents 1793 series. The U.S. Mint produced 63,353 examples, making this the lowest mintage among 3 mint variants, representing only 33% of total production. The obverse features Liberty facing right with flowing hair, surrounded by stars and the reverse displays a wreath of laurel and berries enclosing ONE CENT with a trefoil at the top. Produced during the earliest years of the United States Mint, when the young republic was establishing its monetary system and coinage traditions.
