Description

The standard "United States" variety of the 1787 Fugio cent, the most common legend arrangement. The reverse reads "UNITED STATES" in the normal order around the 13-link chain encircling "WE ARE ONE." The obverse shows the iconic sundial with "FUGIO" (Latin for "I fly," referring to time) and "MIND YOUR BUSINESS" (a Franklin maxim encouraging industry). This is the most available Fugio cent type for collectors.

Rarity Notes

The most common Fugio cent type, though still scarce in absolute terms.
