Description
An exceptionally rare New Haven restrike of the Fugio cent struck in gold. This is among the most precious New Haven restrikes, produced circa 1858-1860s as a special collector piece. Gold restrikes were made in extremely limited quantities and represent the pinnacle of Fugio cent restrike collecting. The gold composition gives these pieces significant intrinsic value beyond their numismatic importance.
