Description

A New Haven restrike of the Fugio cent struck in brass rather than the original copper. New Haven restrikes were produced circa 1858-1860s when original Fugio cent dies (or copies thereof) were rediscovered and used to create collector pieces. Brass restrikes are distinguishable by their yellow color and are collected alongside the original 1787 issues as important numismatic artifacts.
