Description
A Pointed Rays Fugio cent bearing the famous FUCIO misspelling (C instead of G in FUGIO) with the "United States" legend on the reverse. While the Club Rays FUCIO variety is better known, this Pointed Rays version with the same misspelling is equally significant. The error occurred when the die sinker cut a C instead of a G in the obverse legend.
