Description

The Lord Baltimore Fourpence, or Groat, is a silver colonial coin struck at the Royal Mint in England. Two varieties are known: the Large Bust (Hodder 1-A) and the unique Small Bust (Hodder 2-B). The obverse depicts Lord Baltimore's portrait facing left, and the reverse shows the Baltimore family arms topped by a crown with the Roman numeral IV indicating the denomination.

Rarity Notes

Scarce. Two varieties: Large Bust and Small Bust (unique). The Small Bust specimen is the only known example.
