Description
An extremely rare colonial silver coin bearing "NE" (New England) on the obverse and "VI" (six pence) on the reverse. Authorized by the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1652 and struck in Boston by John Hull and Robert Sanderson from dies cut by Joseph Jenks. Fewer than ten genuine examples survive (Noe 1-A variety). Sterling silver (.925), target weight 36 grains (2.33g).
