The obverse features a wild hog with the Roman numeral "III" above and five pellets at the lower left. The reverse depicts a two-masted ship with "S" and "I" flanking the vessel. Two die varieties are recognized: one with small level figures and a second discovered in 1999 with larger stepped figures.
