1932 wheat cent - grease strike-through took out most of the left wheat stalk
Strike ThroughPosted by NumisdexDealer· 0 replies

Grease built up on the reverse die before this coin was struck, preventing the design from being fully impressed. About 75% of the left wheat stalk is completely missing - just smooth metal where the stalk should be. The right stalk is fully intact. Small grease fills in letters are pretty common, but I don't come across many where an entire design element is mostly gone. Found this one coin roll hunting. Still have it.
