(No Date) Civil War Store Card F-600B-1B, CT
Strike TypeCoin Details
Description
Civil War store card from Connecticut, cataloged as Fuld 600B-1B. Connecticut was an arms-making center, with Colt in Hartford and the New Haven Arms Company. Although undated, this token was produced during the 1862-1864 period when federal coins disappeared from commerce. Collectors bought Civil War tokens even while they circulated, so numismatic strikes often survive in high grades.
