Description
The 2026 (S) Proof Lincoln Shield Cent is a proof cent struck at the San Francisco Mint, part of the Semiquincentennial Circulating Coins 2026 series. The obverse features Abraham Lincoln facing right, while the reverse displays a Union shield with a scroll banner reading ONE CENT, symbolizing Lincoln's preservation of the Union. Designed by Victor David Brenner (obverse) / Lyndall Bass (reverse). The Union Shield reverse was introduced in 2010 as the permanent replacement for both the Memorial and Bicentennial reverses. Current circulating design. Low-mintage years and proof issues offer collecting opportunities.
