Description
The 2025 (S) Proof Peace Dollar is a proof dollar struck at the San Francisco Mint, part of the 1921 Silver Dollar Anniversary Coins (2021 to Date) series. The obverse features Liberty in profile wearing a radiant crown, and the reverse displays an eagle at rest holding an olive branch above the word PEACE. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry. As a proof issue, this coin was struck multiple times on specially prepared polished planchets using polished dies, producing mirror-like fields and frosted design elements. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, established during the California Gold Rush and now primarily producing proof and collector coins. Struck in 99.9% silver, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #966146.
