The obverse features Liberty striding confidently toward the sunrise, draped in the American flag, carrying branches of laurel and oak symbolizing civil and military glory — Adolph Weinman's design adapted from the Walking Liberty Half Dollar and the reverse displays an eagle landing on a branch, designed by Emily Damstra. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry.
