Description
The 2025 (D) Lincoln Shield Cent - Omega Privy is a cent produced at the Denver Mint as part of the Lincoln Shield Cents 2010 to Date series. The U.S. Mint produced 250,000 examples. The obverse features Abraham Lincoln facing right, while the reverse displays a Union shield with a scroll banner reading ONE CENT, symbolizing Lincoln's preservation of the Union. Designed by Victor David Brenner (obverse), Lyndall Bass (reverse). Struck in copper-plated zinc, weighing 2.5 grams, 19.05 mm in diameter, with a plain edge. The Union Shield reverse was introduced in 2010 as the permanent replacement for both the Memorial and Bicentennial reverses. Current circulating design. Low-mintage years and proof issues offer collecting opportunities.
