Description
The 2024 American Eagle Ten Dollar Gold is part of the American Eagle Ten Dollar Gold 1986 to Date series. The Mint struck 102,000 of these bullion coins dated 2024, by the Mint's figures. Saint-Gaudens's Liberty from the 1907 double eagle, carrying a torch and an olive branch, fills the obverse, retouched in 2021 from a cast of the original; Jennie Norris's reverse is a close portrait of an eagle's head. Designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens (obverse) and Jennie Norris (reverse). Struck in 91.67% gold, 3% silver, 5.33% copper, weighing 8.48 grams, 22 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #935917. The quarter-ounce American Gold Eagle contains 1/4 troy ounce of 22-karat gold. Annual proof editions and the 2021 design transition provide collecting variety.
