The 2019 (D) American Legion 100th Anniversary Commemorative Half Dollar is a commemorative half dollar struck at the Denver Mint. Part of the American Legion centennial three-coin program, this half dollar focuses on the Legion's commitment to youth and patriotism. The obverse features two children reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, the girl wearing her grandfather's American Legion hat, while the reverse displays an American flag waving atop a high flagpole, seen from the children's point of view. Designed by Richard Masters. Struck in copper-nickel, weighing 11.34 grams, 30.6 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #710220.
