Description
The 2018 (S) Lincoln Shield Cent - Reverse Proof is a proof cent struck at the San Francisco Mint, part of the Lincoln Shield Cents 2010 to Date series. The obverse features Abraham Lincoln facing right, while the reverse displays a Union shield with a scroll banner reading ONE CENT, symbolizing Lincoln's preservation of the Union. Designed by Victor David Brenner/Lyndall Bass. Struck in copper-plated zinc, weighing 2.5 grams, 19 mm in diameter, with a plain edge. Cataloged as PCGS #679889. The Union Shield reverse was introduced in 2010 as the permanent replacement for both the Memorial and Bicentennial reverses. Current circulating design.
