For 2018, the Mint's figures are 62,000 bullion coins and 12,769 West Point proofs. Saint-Gaudens's Liberty from the 1907 double eagle, carrying a torch and an olive branch, fills the obverse; Miley Busiek's reverse shows a male eagle with an olive branch flying above a nest where a female eagle sits with her young. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry.
