Description
SKH-1c-2017P-08 is a spiked head from the 2017 Philadelphia Lincoln Shield Cent. Researchers who compile cross-entry comparison tables—noting the angle, length, base position, and associated field characteristics of each spike in the 2017-P sequence—can begin to identify whether certain regions of the portrait are more susceptible to cracking than others, a finding that would have implications for die design and hub engineering. Cataloged and attributed by Cuds on Coins.
