The obverse features classic coin designs faithfully reproduced in gold: Mercury Dime, Standing Liberty Quarter, and Walking Liberty Half Dollar, while the reverse displays classic reverse designs reproduced in gold. Designed by Adolph Alexander Weinman. Struck in 99.99% gold, weighing 3.11 grams, 16.5 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #597222. The 2016 Centennial Gold Coin Series celebrated the 100th anniversary of three beloved 1916 coin designs — the Mercury Dime, Standing Liberty Quarter, and Walking Liberty Half Dollar — by reproducing them in .9999 fine gold at 1/10 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/2 oz respectively.. Extremely popular with collectors who value classic American coin artistry. These are among the most sought-after modern U.S. Mint products.
