The 2014 (P) Civil Rights Act of 1964 Dollar is a commemorative dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The Philadelphia Mint struck 24,734 uncirculated Civil Rights Act of 1964 dollars dated 2014. Authorized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the landmark legislation that outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The obverse features three people holding hands at a civil rights march, with one holding a 'We Shall Overcome' sign, while the reverse displays three intertwined flames symbolizing freedom of education, freedom to vote, and freedom to control one's own destiny. Designed by Justin Kunz/Donna Weaver. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #524351.
