Description
The 2013 (W) Edith Roosevelt First Spouse Ten Dollar Gold is a dollar produced at the West Point Mint as part of the First Spouse Gold 2007 to Date series. With a mintage of just 2,027, this is a rare issue sought by specialists. The obverse features a portrait of the presidential spouse (or a representation of Liberty for unmarried presidents), while the reverse displays a scene from the life of the featured spouse. Designed by Joel Iskowitz/Chris Costello. Struck in 99.99% gold, weighing 15.55 grams, 26.5 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #518113. The First Spouse Gold Coin series (2007-present) was created to accompany the Presidential Dollar program, honoring the spouses of U.S. Low mintages and high gold content make these coins both collectible and intrinsically valuable.
