The 2012 American Eagle Ten Dollar Gold is a United States Gold Eagle from the American Eagle Ten Dollar Gold 1986 to Date series. For 2012, the Mint's figures are 90,000 bullion coins and 13,775 West Point proofs. Saint-Gaudens's Liberty from the 1907 double eagle, carrying a torch and an olive branch, fills the obverse; Miley Busiek's reverse shows a male eagle with an olive branch flying above a nest where a female eagle sits with her young. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry.
