The obverse features the Statue of Liberty facing forward and the reverse displays a Revolutionary War minuteman holding a rifle and a book, for To Provide for the Common Defence. Struck in 99.95% platinum, weighing 31.12 grams, 32.7 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Designed by John M. Mercanti (obverse) and Barbara Fox (reverse).
