Description
The 2008 (W) Van Buren's Liberty First Spouse Ten Dollar Gold is a dollar produced at the West Point Mint as part of the First Spouse Gold 2007 to Date series. With a mintage of just 3,826, this is a rare issue sought by specialists. The obverse features a portrait of the presidential spouse (or a representation of Liberty for unmarried presidents), while the reverse displays a scene from the life of the featured spouse. Designed by Christian Gobrecht/Thomas Cleveland. Struck in 99.99% gold, weighing 15.55 grams, 26.5 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #395702.
