The 2008 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Satin Finish is a special strike cent struck at the Denver Mint, part of the Lincoln Memorial Cents 1959-2008 series. With a mintage of 745,464, this is an extremely rare issue — the lowest mintage among 3 mint variants, representing only 20% of total production. The obverse features Abraham Lincoln facing right and the reverse displays the Lincoln Memorial building in Washington, D.C.. The final year of the Memorial reverse before the 2009 Bicentennial designs. Struck at the Denver Mint, established in 1906 from an earlier assay office that processed Colorado gold rush metal.
