For 2004, the Mint's figures are 72,014 bullion coins and 28,839 West Point proofs. Saint-Gaudens's Liberty from the 1907 double eagle, carrying a torch and an olive branch, fills the obverse; Miley Busiek's reverse shows a male eagle with an olive branch flying above a nest where a female eagle sits with her young.
