In 1998, coins were struck at the West Point and Philadelphia Mints with a combined mintage of 46,251. The obverse features the Statue of Liberty facing forward and the reverse displays an eagle soaring over the sunrise. Struck after the transition from silver to clad coinage, as the Mint adapted to modern production methods and record-breaking mintages.
