Produced at the Denver Mint, the 1996 (D) Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games Paralympic Dollar is part of the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. The Denver Mint struck 15,325 uncirculated Atlanta Olympic Paralympic dollars dated 1996. The obverse shows a wheelchair racer and the reverse the torch logo of the Atlanta organizing committee, shared by the four 1996 Olympic dollars. The Denver Mint, which grew from an 1860s gold rush assay office, has served as a major production facility since 1906. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #9726.
