Description
The 1995 (S) Proof Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games Baseball Commemorative Half Dollar is a proof cent struck at the San Francisco Mint, part of the Modern Commemorative Half Dollars (1982-Date) series. The U.S. Mint produced 118,087 examples. The obverse features designs varying by commemorative issue, while the reverse displays designs varying by commemorative issue. Designed by Edgar Z. Steever/T. James Ferrell. Struck in 75% copper, 25% nickel over a pure copper center, weighing 11.34 grams, 30.6 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #9711. Modern commemorative half dollars are struck in copper-nickel clad composition and honor American events and figures. Lower mintages compared to circulating issues. Available in proof and uncirculated finishes.
