Description
The 1994 (D) Capitol Dollar is a dollar minted at the Denver Mint, within the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. The Denver Mint struck 68,332 uncirculated United States Capitol Bicentennial dollars dated 1994. The obverse shows the Capitol dome and the reverse an eagle with a shield and flags. Denver's mint evolved from a frontier assay office into one of the nation's primary coin production facilities, opening in 1906. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #9696.
