Description
Attributed significantly later than its predecessors, SKH-1c-1972-15 was documented by the Cuds on Coins team on April 17, 2024 — a gap of nearly three and a half years since the fourteenth entry (October 2020). No cross-references to other attribution services have been established. The 2024 attribution demonstrates that the catalog remains open to expansion as new material surfaces and as collectors with fresh eyes examine 1972 Philadelphia cents. SKH-1c-1972-15 originated from a fifteenth distinct obverse die whose portrait-apex fatigue crack produced a unique spike — different in its geometric characteristics from all fourteen previously documented varieties.
