Description
This is Bashlow's 1962 copy of the Scott Confederate half dollar token in brass, which NGC calls goldine. In 1962 Robert Bashlow issued pieces copying Scott's 1879 token, struck from new dies rather than the Confederate die, in silver, bronze and goldine; PCGS dates them 1962 and the reported figures for each metal differ. PCGS number 545696.
