Description
The 1935 (D) Arkansas Half Dollar is a half dollar produced at the Denver Mint as part of the Classic Silver Commemoratives (1892-1954) series. With a mintage of just 5,505, this is a rare issue sought by specialists. The obverse features designs varying by commemorative issue, each authorized by an individual act of Congress, while the reverse displays designs varying by commemorative issue. Designed by Edward Everett Burr & Emily Bates. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 12.5 grams, 30.6 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #9234. Classic Silver Commemoratives (1892-1954) were half dollars and occasional other denominations struck to honor people, places, and events in American history.
