Description
A five centavos coin from the Manila Mint, the 1931-M Philippine Five Centavos belongs to the Philippines Five Centavos 1903-1945 series. In 1930 the Manila Mint began a smaller five-centavo piece, about 19 mm across instead of the earlier size, in the same copper-nickel alloy and with the same designs. It was struck at Manila from 1930 to 1932 and in 1934 and 1935, each coin with an M beside the date. Greysheet's listing and the Krause catalogue both record 3,476,790 pieces. Catalogue numbers: KM-175. PCGS number 90207.
