The 1929 Standing Liberty Quarter is a quarter produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Standing Liberty Quarters 1916-1930 series. The U.S. Mint produced 11.1 million examples, making this the highest mintage among 3 variants, accounting for 78% of the year's production. The obverse features Liberty standing in a gateway between two walls, holding an olive branch and a shield and the reverse displays an eagle in flight. Minted during and after World War I, as America emerged as a global power and experienced the prosperity of the Roaring Twenties. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792. Estimated market value ranges from $20 to $292 depending on grade and condition. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 6.3 grams, 24.3 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #5772.
