Description
The 1875 Proof Cent Pattern - J-1384 is a proof cent pattern struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Metric & Stella Patterns (1874-1879) series. It was struck from the regular 1875 Indian Head cent dies. USPatterns.com believes the 1875 off-metal pieces from regular dies were struck on purpose for sale to collectors in complete sets, cent through double eagle, in copper and aluminum. Two aluminum examples are confirmed. It is struck in aluminum with a plain edge. USPatterns.com rates it R-7. It is also catalogued as Pollock-1528 and Adams-Woodin 1463. Cataloged as PCGS #61691.
