1873 Proof Dollar Pattern - J-1325
Strike TypeCoin Details
Description
A copper rendering of a near-final trade dollar design, J-1325 provides one of the last base-metal views of the design before production began. The copper composition at this stage serves primarily to document the final form of the design rather than to test alternative compositions, as the adopted Trade Dollar was firmly established as a silver coin.
