1998 Type I Counter Clash CCL(TI)-1998-01

Description

CCL(TI)-1998-01 This 1998(P) Lincoln cent shows two, offset rotated die clash (6 º) and as a result of the offset between die clash events, a Type I counterclash. The overlay provided shows the rotation between the dies when they did meet. This Coin is in the collection of Joe Koelling The two white arrows show the offset between the first clash and the second clash. the black arrow points to the transferred bridge of Lincoln’s nose that was clashed into the reverse in the first clash event and then transferred back to the obverse during the second clash event.
