Description
ADC-1c-1960D-78(SD): 1 event This is a tilted die clash seen on a 1960D small date Lincoln cent. While the obverse die has been abraded to remove the event, a partial letter E from the word UNITED can still be seen on the lower left corner of Lincoln’s bust. The lower left corner of Lincoln’s bust can be seen clashed behind and below the of UNITED. This clash event can be recognized by the die scratches just to the left of the mint mark. Also noted is the die chip in the R of LIBERTY and the long, slanted die scratch under the LIBE of LIBERTY.
