The 2021 (W) American Eagle Twenty Five Dollar Gold - Type 2 is part of the American Eagle Twenty Five Dollar Gold 1986 to Date series. The Mint sold 65,000 of these bullion coins dated 2021. The obverse is Augustus Saint-Gaudens' Liberty from the 1907 double eagle, in the version refreshed in 2021; the reverse, designed by Jennie Norris, is a close-up portrait of an eagle's head. Designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens (obverse) and Jennie Norris (reverse). Struck in 91.67% gold, 3% silver, 5.33% copper, 27 mm in diameter. Cataloged as PCGS #884682. The half-ounce American Gold Eagle contains 1/2 troy ounce of 22-karat gold.
