The 2000 (P) Proof Library of Congress Bicentennial Commemorative Dollar is a proof cent struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. The U.S. Mint produced 198,503 examples. The obverse features designs varying by commemorative issue, authorized by Congress to honor significant American events, people, and institutions, while the reverse displays designs varying by commemorative issue. Designed by John M. Mercanti/Thomas D. Rogers. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #99783.
