Description

Bar extended from the upper leg to the upper base to the right of the statue on the seventh column. Die Markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: A die gouge can be found below the I of UNITED. A die gouge can be found to the left of the upper upright of the T of UNITED. A die gouge can be found below the left side of the E of UNITED. Die gouges can be found above and below the E of E PLURIBUS. A die gouge can be found below the P of PLURIBUS. A die crack and chip can be found at the top of the first Memorial column. Submitted By: Steve Young Cross References: None known Comments: Doubling on this die is essentially indistinguishable from 2000 1¢ WDDR-093 but markers show these are different varieties. Obverse: A die gouge can be found below the first T in TRUST. A die gouge can be found below the R in TRUST. Several linear die gouges can be found inside the upper T and lower U in TRUST. Several die gouges can be found right of the forehead below TRUST. A die gouge can be found on the central forehead below the hair. A die gouge can be found well above the T in TRUST. A die gouge can be found above the V of VDB. Reverse: A die scratch extends from the lower first A through the middle of the M of AMERICA. Sideways “V” shaped die scratches can be seen coming off the bottom right corner of the E in STATES. A minute die gouge can be found on the lower cornice just above the second Memorial bay. A small die gouge can be found touching the left side of the E in ONE about a third of the way from the bottom. A die scratch can be found extending from the top of the E of ONE to the top of the E of CENT. A die gouge can be found touching the left side of the upper right upright of the N in CENT. A minute die gouge can be found above the left side of the upper right upright of the N in CENT. A small die gouge can be found below the left side of the crossbar of the T in CENT.
