1998P-1DER-048T Trail Die Reverse

Description

Trail lines are seen from the tops of the letters in UNITED, STATES and the EPU. Also seen are trail lines from the column base line, the right URN and the bottom of the letters in ONE. Take particular note of the sharp trail line from the bottom of the N in ONE and notice that it is not straight. The offset direction is 290 degrees.

Die Markers

• Stage “A”, obverse is LDS – A trail of die gouges goes SSE below the I of LIBERTY and a die gouge is found near the lobe of Lincoln’s ear. Reverse is EDS – none noted
• Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted
• Reverse is MDS – a large die crack is seen from the cornice over column 10 through the I of AMERICA and into the rim.
