This 70mm bronze medal by Medallic Art Company commemorates the inauguration of George Herbert Walker Bush as the forty-first President of the United States on January 20, 1989. Bush, who had served eight years as Reagan's vice president, won the presidency by defeating Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis in the 1988 election.
